Mainframe Security Engineer

Job Description: Mainframe Security Engineer:
Looking for some with 6 to 8 years of experience
Responsibilities:
•
Administer RACF and TopSecret security systems: Manage login IDs, dataset, and resource rules.
•
Provision user access: Respond to access requests and tickets within defined SLAs.
•
Monitor system security: Ensure adherence to security policies and handle violations/incidents.
•
Perform audit reviews: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly security audits.
•
Customer support: Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for stakeholders.
•
Collaborate with business areas: Liaise with other technical support teams to ensure security standards are met.
•
On-call support: Be available 24/7 for emergency support.
Mandatory Skills:
•
TopSecret: Hands-on experience with TopSecret security administration.
•
RACF: Proficiency in RACF security systems.
•
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TSO, JCL, IBM utilities, JES2, and ISPF.
•
Security Products: Experience with Vanguard and/or IBM zSecure security products.
•
Programming: Familiarity with REXX or other programming languages.
•
CICS Security: Preferred experience in CICS security administration.
Personal Skills:
•
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•
Organizational: Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
•
Analytical: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certifications:
•
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
•
Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, or ITIL certification is a plus.- Can be a value add , but not mandatory.
