JOB ROLE SUMMARY

Provides senior, executive level program and project management expertise to plan, organize, control and deliver large, complex infrastructure and data center migration level projects. Plans and manages multiple company-wide projects including development of project scope, goals, work plans, cost/benefit analysis of proposals, estimation of budgets, timelines, deliverables, implementation and integration strategies, and resources required for successful and timely completion of such projects. Promotes client satisfaction by ensuring the project adheres to stakeholder specifications.   An integral part of this activity is to establish, develop, and manage key relationships with client sponsors and internal leaders. Responsible for project completion within determined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with stakeholders to:

• Ensure business requirements are clearly defined, understood, and documented.
• Define the scope, risks, potential issues, and resources of the project.
• Ensure benefits can be realized while managing the impact of the organizational change to the business and clients.
• Develops phases of the program and interprets them into a measurable project plan(s).
• Communicates both internally and externally regarding delivery of work products and services, planning efforts, personnel relationships with other organizations and resources.
• Manages the program and projects adhering to Ensono’s project management methodology.
• Manages program and project scope in terms of mission, objectives, and requirements.
• Manages program and project schedule in terms of dates and milestones.
• Ensures effective team identification of program and project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; acts as an escalation point for the team and implements effective mitigation strategies by taking corrective action to achieve resolution project goals.
• Provides leadership and strategic direction to the project team.
• Oversees the various work streams of activities in the project, including timeline, quality of work, risks, issue escalations, and collaboration amongst the various stakeholders.
• Works with all stakeholders to ensure governance is in place and a continuous improvement/ transformation plan is in place.
• Establishes deadlines, assigns tasks and monitors and summarizes progress of projects making up the program.
• Develops business insights based on analysis of results and communicates key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Works with management to secure appropriate resources and people to complete assigned projects on time and within budget.
• Appropriately escalate barriers, issues, and risks to meeting timelines and deliverables.
• Manages the development of polished executive-level presentations; delivers information to internal business associates and external clients in a clear and concise fashion.
• Manages the program and project status reporting according to prescribed timelines for a given project.
• Develops measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.
• Manage costs and budget.
• Facilitate cross-training to ensure job rotation and minimize assignment coverage gap.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to all team members.

PRODUCT/ INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:

• Understands the infrastructure project and project management discipline from both a business and technical perspective. Experience working in a Managed Service Provider industry.
• Industry experience during all phases of large-scale onboarding or migration programs.
• Previously demonstrated experience in managing full life cycle implementations of software development projects and other traditional consulting services such as assessments.

CONSULTANT:

• Brings prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations.
• Actively contribute to the Ensono PMO knowledge and collateral.
• Interfaces with the client’s executive management to understand critical business issues and concerns.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any direct reports but will mentor less experienced associates in the role.  This position has a matrixed team (no direct reports)

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of complex IT program and project management experience
• IT outsourcing knowledge
• Strong Infrastructure Management experience required.

Knowledge & Experience

• Proficient in Agile or Waterfall project management tools and techniques such as Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project
• Strong Financial Management Skills
• Efficient team management skills
• Strong Leadership skills
• Ability to travel when required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

 Preferred

• Project Management Institute PMP
• ITIL knowledge or certification
• ITSM knowledge or certification
• Project financial / revenue recognition experience
• Financial management experience with 3rd party providers/delivery partners, including aligning spend to work progress.
• B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering; or equivalent work experience
• Specific knowledge of mainframe technology and major industry solutions/vendors.
• Certification or experience managing Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud projects.
• Significant C-level presentation experience
