Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – CMOD

The Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer provides support for on-going projects that require the installation, testing, and implementation of new operating systems and other ‘system’ software. Also, the Maintenance and debugging of systems software.. Functional knowledge, use of CMOD components and detailed knowledge of support products such as tape management, scheduling, security, monitoring systems, etc. 

Key Areas of Focus for this Role  

  • Monitoring the space used by the database

  • Monitoring the space used for archive storage

  • Print Migration during upgrades

  • Sets up print retention

  • Defining Content Manager OnDemand system printers

  • Defines Applications, Application Groups, Folders and Cabinets 

  • Scheduling jobs to maintain the database, cache storage, and archive storage

  • Knowledge of Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS & OPC)

  • Working with users to determine report indexing and retrieval requirements

  • Defining reports to the system

  • Defining Content Manager OnDemand groups and users.

  • User security setup

  • Loading reports on the system

  • Understand and help manage the backup and recovery process for the database and other areas that contain data

  • Help resolve Server, Network, and Application problems.

  • Answering end-user questions

  • Establishing security and audit policies, for example: set and maintain passwords and permissions; use OnDemand’s audit facilities to monitor application group and user activity; develop, document

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in CMOD using OAM Administration

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Disaster Recovery Procedures

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage priorities in a driven changing environment

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, Ability to work independently (self-starter) and in team environments

  • Ability to respond to and support critical situations and quickly adapt to defined process and procedures

  • Some Experience in Installation and Configuration of IBM CMOD in a Mainframe Environment and Managing Production Environments

  • Experience in Configuring CMOD Components in a Highly Available Mode

  • Knowledge in CMOD Architecture and various deployment strategies

  • Experience and knowledge on Migrating CMOD application from one environment to another environment

  • Experience in CMOD environment Fine tuning, troubleshooting, analyzing performance problems

  • Excellent trouble shooting skills to identify performance bottlenecks, integrations issues

 

Other Qualifications 

  • Ability to perform skill set of a Mainframe System Programmer  

  • Working in a collaborative multi client Environment. 

  • Ability to mentor and show leadership qualities

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $85,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
