Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Finance, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning Consultant to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Workday Financial Management, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning solutions. The consultant will partner with Finance, Procurement, FP&A, Accounting, IT, and business leaders to drive digital transformation, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.

This role combines deep functional expertise in finance and procurement processes with advanced Workday configuration, integration, reporting, and planning capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance, FP&A, Procurement, and Accounting leadership.
• Define and execute Workday roadmap initiatives aligned with business strategy.
• Lead transformation programs focused on process standardization, automation, and AI adoption.

Workday Financials

• Configure and optimize Workday Financial Management modules, including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Expenses
  • Cash Management
  • Asset Management
  • Banking & Settlement
  • Revenue Management
  • Project Accounting
• Design and enhance business processes, approvals, controls, and reporting.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Implement and support:
  • Requisitions
  • Purchase Orders
  • Supplier Management
  • Strategic Sourcing
  • Supplier Contracts
  • Spend Analytics
• Drive procurement automation and supplier lifecycle improvements.
• Improve spend visibility, compliance, and purchasing efficiency.
• Introduce AI wherever appropriate to automate procurement processes & reporting.

Adaptive Planning & FP&A

• Lead Adaptive Planning solutions including:
  • Budgeting
  • Forecasting
  • Workforce Planning
  • Scenario Modeling
  • Executive Dashboards
  • Driver-Based Planning
• Develop financial models, dimensions, attributes, calculations, and access controls.
• Partner with FP&A teams to improve forecasting accuracy and decision support capabilities.

Reporting, Analytics & AI

• Develop Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and calculated fields.
• Support Workday AI capabilities, predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, and financial insights.
• Deliver executive-level analytics and performance reporting.

Integrations & Security

• Design and support integrations using:
  • EIB
  • Workday Studio
  • REST APIs
  • SOAP APIs
  • Cloud Connect
• Manage Workday security roles, domains, and segregation-of-duty controls.
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness.

Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end implementations and enhancement projects.
• Gather requirements, create solution designs, facilitate workshops, and manage testing.
• Coordinate UAT, release management, and production deployments.
• Mentor junior consultants and project team members.

 

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.

 

Experience

• 8+ years of Workday Financials experience.
• 5+ years of Workday Procurement experience.
• 5+ years of Workday Adaptive Planning experience.
• Proven experience delivering global Workday Finance and Procurement implementations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement operations. Workday Adaptive Planning+1
